Industrial Botany Research Division of BCSIR Chittagong is to conserve our natural heritage by deepening our knowledge of the plant world and achieving public understanding of the value plants bring to  is conducts research using molecular phylogenetic, morphological, and gene analytical methods to understand better the diversity, phylogeny, and evolution of all non-animal organisms such as plants, algae, and fungi. Our mission is to development and innovation of new technologies to improve agricultural production , achieve food security and self-sufficiency.
